When the horses are paraded before the grandstands, the university of Louisville marching band plays Stephen Foster’s “My Old Kentucky Home”. It is the state song of Kentucky published in the year of 1853.

The Kentucky Derby Festivals is generally considered the world’s most prestigious horse race. The race is well familiar in the United States as “The Most exciting two Minutes in Sports”.
