Portland Pilots Information

Portland Pilots

The University of Portland is a private Roman Catholic University located in Portland, Oregon. The University of Portland includes many sports teams. The men’s basketball team is representing the University of Portland. The Pilots team is landed in the inaugural CIT and lost to pacific in the first round. The game marked the team’s first trip to the postseason since 1995-96. In this season they had won the WCC tournament.

The colors of the team are purple and white and the nickname is Pilots. The Pilots postseason history also includes a loss to DePaul in the first round of the 1959 NCAA tournament. The team is prefers to play in the NIT which is bigger and considered more prominent than the other two tournaments.  In 2009-10 the men’s team will represent the University of Portland Pilots. The Portland season probably did not end with the Pilots 69-55 loss to Saints Mary’s in the semifinal of the West Coast Conference tournament. The fans of the Pilots are excited to watch their games of 2010 live.
