Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Oklahoma State Cowboys also known as the Cowgirls for women teams are the athletic teams which represents the University of Oklahoma State. The mascot is a cowboy named Pistol Pete. They participates in the NCAA’s Division 1-A and in the Big 12 Conference’s South Division. The Oklahoma State Cowboys basketball team represents the University of Oklahoma in NCAA Division 1 men’s basketball team competition.

The head coach of the team is Travis Ford and the colors of the team are black and orange. In the year of 1938 the team has played its home games in Gallagher-Iba Arena, the school is known as the Oklahoma A&M College and they were nicknamed the Aggies.  The Cowboys rank 35th achievement among all NCAA Division 1 college basketball team. They have made 22 appearances in the NCAA tournament and NCAA regional finals eleven times. The team has won NCAA championship in the year 1945 and 1946. The Oklahoma State women’s team has started in 1972-1973 season and the coach is Kurt Budke.

The current event of Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. the other teams will be starting from 24th February till 27th November on the various locations. The fans are excited to see the 2010 event.
