The University of Oklahoma representing the 17 varsity sports teams. Both men’s and women’s teams are called the Sooners. They are participates in the NCAA’s Division 1-A in the South Division of the Big 12 Conference. In the year of 1930 the University Sooners have been prominent basketball program. The men’s basketball team is highly successful in early 80’s with the head coach Billy Tubbs.

The team is playing in the Lloyd Noble Center which came to be known as the house Alvan Adams. The team has never won a national championship and it ranks second in most tournament wins without a championship behind Illinois. The team colors are crimson and cream. In 2006-2007 seasons The Sooners continued a streak of 12 consecutive post season tournament appearances.

In the 2009 NBA draft, the team has been produced the number 1 overall draft selection Blake Griffin. The current event of 2010 Oklahoma Sooners Vs. the other teams will be starting from 27th February till 27th November on the different locations. The Fans are excited to see this event.
