The Nebraska Cornhuskers also known as the Huskers is the sports teams of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The university is the member of the Big 12 Conference and competes in NCAA Division 1. The Nebraska Cornhuskers men’s basket ball team refers the University of Nebraska Lincoln in college. The team has been started in the year of 1896 playing 7-on-7 basketball. The team has the distinction of being one of the only three BCS programs in the NCAA Tournament.

The head coach of the team is Doc Sadler and the team is playing their home games at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The colors of the team are scarlet and cream. The first collegiate game was against Nebraska Wesleyan University. In 2008 the team has 1,335 wins with 6 NCAA appearances and 15 NIT appearances. The women’s basketball team has been held in 1970 as a club sport and five year later they become a varsity sport. The head coach of the team is Con Yori.

The current season 2010 event of Nebraska vs. the other teams will be starting from 24th February till 26th November on the various locations. The fans are excited to see their best team in the final court of Basketball.
