The yellow Jackets are the name of the athletic teams which is playing for the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. The men’s basketball represents the Georgia Tech Jackets in NCAA Division 1. The Head coach of the team is Paul Hewitt and the team plays its home games in Alexander Memorial Coliseum. The teams have over all won 1,169 games and have a 53 % win percentage. The Georgia Tech’s officially participation was in the year of 1906.

The colors of the team are old gold and white and the nickname is Yellow Jackets. In the year of 1932 the team became a charter member of the Southeast and won the Conference title in 1938. The Yellow Jackets has many famous and talented players in the team such as Dennis Scott, Jarrett Jack and Mark Prince. The team nine consecutive appearances in the NCAA tournament have been held in mid 1980s.

The women’s basketball team is playing its home games in Alexander Memorial Coliseum and their current head coach is MaChelle Joseph. The 2009-10 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team is playing for the Georgia Tech yellow Jackets. The 2010 event will be held from 27th February till 27th November on the different locations. The Fans are excited to see the winner of the current season 2010.
