Reliable House adds more bench power for Heat
The Miami Heat is set to be a force to reckon once the new season of the National Basketball Association opens in October. Aside from its powerful starting five made up of superstar guard Dwayne "Flash" Wade, superstar forward Lebron "King" James and superstar power-forward Chris Bosh, the team also boost of having a roster of reliable bench players. Recently, the Heat further improved their bench by signing reliable sharpshooting guard Eddie House to a two-year contract worth $2.8 million. A second-round draft pick by the heat way-back in 2000, House had a memorable and productive three-year stint with the team. After his playing years with the Heat in the past House played for eight other NBA teams,including Boston Celtics and New York last season, when he averaged 7.0 points in 68 games off the bench.  Newly acquired Miami Heat veteran guard Eddie House. His career average is 7.6 points, and he’s a 39-percent shooter from 3-point range, with a reputation for making clutch baskets. House will be a great reliever for either Wade or James the two main starters of the Heat. Known primarily as a superb shooter and clutch performer, House will also provide veteran leadership for the Heat who is aiming to dethrone the Los Angeles Lakers as NBA champion. With House as part of the Heat's roster, the team now has a player who can offer quality minutes once Wade and James take some rest to the bench. The Heat is dead serious in its effort to dethrone the Lakers as it signed quality role players for the Heat in the next NBA season. The team also recently signed big-men Udonis Haslem and Juwan Howard as reliable back-up players to Bosh and starting center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Both NBA veterans, Haslem, a long-time Heat player and Howard will provide rebounding, scoring and defence for the Heat in the next season of the premier professional basketball league in the planet.
